The Socket & See TB118 ESSENTIAL KIT equips gas engineers with all the necessary tools to ensure the safe electrical isolation of gas appliances, adhering strictly to Technical Bulletin 118. Each kit includes the Socket & See VVD PRO, a non-contact voltage indicator designed to detect hazardous voltages on appliances, pipework, and exposed metal work in compliance with TB118, BS 6891, and BS 6400. This device alerts users visually and physically to any dangerous voltage present, enhancing safety during checks.

Enhanced Functionality and Safety Measures
To prevent accidental energisation when appliances are connected to the mains, the kit includes various lock-off devices suitable for 13 Amp plugs, MCB/RCD, and fused spurs, complete with prohibition tags to support a full lockout-tagout procedure. Additionally, the inclusion of a two-pole voltage indicator and proving unit allows for the thorough execution of safe isolation procedures. The VIP200, a highlight of the kit, offers a continuity test function, a flashlight, and single pole indication, making it incredibly versatile and practical for tight spaces and intricate work.
